i have 5g 30gb vipod and i just couldnt get videos played on my ipod.....i have gone to http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PluginMpegplayer but i quite didnt understand everything...can someone here give me a clearer tutorial on how to play videos on rockbox?...thank you :)

Its simple.

Read the tutorial again.

Copy the file you created over to your player.

Click on the file using the file browser.

Remember there is no sound at the moment!

i downloaded the sample that Bagder  gave....and kept in ipod drive...and when i selected that file on rockbox it doesnt play....where am i wrong?  :-\..thankyou

nothing happens....its like keeping the cursor on a file and not clicking it........though it freezes for about 2 second....

And in /.rockbox/viewers there is a file called mpegplayer.rock?

You are running a fairly new, official build of Rockbox, correct?

Did you download it from the Daily or CVS builds page at Rockbox.org?

And under the "Info" menu, under, "Version" what does it say at the bottom of the screen?

Okay, which file did you download? What exactly is it named ON YOUR PLAYER, and when you look at the file in Rockbox, what does the little icon to the left of it look like?

the file name is "elephantsdream-q8-224x128-274kbps.m2v " ....i downloaded from the link that badger gave in this same forum...and there is no icon...others have icon but it dont have

Are you 100% sure it's named that on the player?

Also, in /.rockbox/ there should be a file called "viewers.config". Open it in notepad, and see if it has this line:
