4g rockbox installation after boot inst

i get figure out how to install the directory like/.rockbox  using the build  the instructions in the read me in my build file say to run the tool/configure but i have a mac and no way to run the exe  heeelllppp

If you've already installed the bootloader, all you need to do is download and unzip a Rockbox build onto your iPod. See step 2:

Your post is very difficult to understand.  There is no reference to running tools/configure anywhere in the installation instructions.   Are you trying to compile your own build?  If so, it is not necessary to do this.

Simply follow the instructions in the wiki or in the manual (see the link in my signature).

after i unzip the build and follow the directions for getting the hidden directory and the rockbox.ipod   neither show up on the root  and only the boot goes through on my ipod screen then back to the old firmware

i just read the last repley from febs   yea i didnt know what i was doing with that first post   but now i understand that you just unzip it into the ipod but its not working when i go threw the commands to get the directory and the rockbox.ipod out of the folder and into the ipod root
