Wherefore art the EDIT button?
« on: August 22, 2006, 12:23:07 AM »
I just tried to edit one of my posts, and the edit button is gone!

I'm so used to clicking that area that I actually clicked "quote" and double posted, quoting myself.

You should still have one here. It was just the announcements forum where it should've accidentally been removed.

I made the permissions a *bit* too strict for regular members there. Do you have one here? (And there, now that it should be fixed, but I haven't changed anything for normal forums, so if you have one here, it was never really broken overall. If you don't, I need to fix that too.)

I did a rather major rework of the permissions layout, so if things are odd, let me know.

Nope, all good now.  This was just the first time I tried to edit something since the new forum layout, and it happened to be on a post in the Annoucements forum.  All better now.

You know 'wherefore' actually means 'why'? Just a little bit of trivia for you :)
