Yes, 'player' in this case means your ipod drive.

To start Doom, go to the main menu, -> browse plugins -> doom.

Might I suggest you download the relevant copy of the manual and have a look through, it's a great resource for those who are new to rockbox: http://www.rockbox.org/daily.shtml

ritesh, you *really* need to take a look at the manual.  This is the third thread that you have started in two days with basic questions that are easily answered by the manual.
