few questions about rockbox....

i have recently installed rockbox on my 30gb video ipod (thanks to brandun_6)....and now i find difficulty in these following things:


1. i can only select songs pressing the next and previous button...so how do i select songs directly?
2. is rockbox photo compatible?
3. is rockbox video compatible ?
4. how do i install doom and other wad files?
5. and can some one give a tutorial to change my ipod back to the original type...i mean uninstalling rockbox...

1) If you have the song selected then hold the select button and you can insert it into the current playlist. Or just press the select button and it will start to play.

2) Yes, there is a jpeg browser.

3) Only just video playback, with no sound, yet.

thank you so much " mnhnhyouh "....most of them really helped me :)...but i got confused on some points....
1. where to put the .jpg files and where to view it on ipod?
2. i didnt understand the mpeg2 video coding stuffs....and didnt understand how to intall the doom ...so is there any easier way to do it....?a little understandable way....

If you just drag and drop the photos anywhere you want on the player, not using iTunes, you can find it in the file browser. :)

Hmmm, doom.

I dont use it, but you need to create a directory called  /games/doom/ that sits in the top level of your iPod.

You then need to put two files in that directory, rockdoom.wad and doom.wad

Then just start the plugin :)

i quiet understand when you said drop the photos anywhere you want on the "player"...player means drag and drop on the ipod drive?

and for the next part....i copied the two files of doom...then how should i start the plugin?
