I have a question regarding the Battery Benchmark plugin:

Is the logged data actually used then directly by the Rockbox software on my player in order to better forecast the correlation between battery voltage and displayed remaining running time?

Or is the logged data just for making plots and uploading the data to the server here, in order to eventually be used in future Rockbox versions, if still relevant at all?

The latter.  We've had some discussions on how best to pull the derived table into an external file that's loaded at runtime, along with having the benchmark plugin automagically do the rest.
