Seamless play

I noticed another advantage of Rockbox yesterday: gapless playback. Most other DAP's stutter when they play consecutive files. This is especially bothersome when playing an album like Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" or Jeff Wayne's "Musical Version of War of the Worlds" where the songs transition into another.

This makes listening to such albums that much more enjoyable.

Gapless playback seems to be a real struggle for DAP manufacturers.

Rockbox indeed does it very well, it is one of the great joys of using Rockbox (top 3 for me the playlist control and bookmarking).

I've never seen a DAP that could do this. iPod I'm not sure since I haven't owned one.
