a simple quick question...how do i enter my iPod in disk mode
soap:
I believe he is asking if there is a way to power-on an iPod and have it appear as only a disk, in much the same manner you can with newer Macs.
The question is moot, because unless you allow iTunes to seize control of your ipod it is always avaliable as a UMS device.
travishayes89:
Sorry for not typing it right. :-[
@soap, you are wrong.
@L: you are right.
Febs:
So I guess that begs the question, what does that have to do with entering the iPod in disk mode? or with Rockbox for that matter?
travishayes89:
It deals with the ipod, and the disk. and my ipod doesn't work anymore, but the HDD still does, so im trying to figure something out, seeing as i have mp3s on it that i forgot to backup on my computer.
http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_zdpcm/is_200602/ai_n16042734 i found this site in a search on google, seems cool, just waiting for it to make its way to Circuit City and Best Buy, cause i need those mp3s, seeing as i downloaded them, and didn't think to burn them, i need a way to get them back so i can.
Llorean:
Yes, but neither of those is "disk mode". See, the idea is that this is a forum, and you respond on-topic. When you have a new or different concern, you find the appropriate place to start a new thread.
