a simple quick question...how do i enter my iPod in disk mode

I wonder why everybody need to enter the disk mode, I'm from mexico, and have software 1.2, and since the moment i plug my ipod, immediatly shows up on my explorer as a usb device, no need to do anything, and it`s not just mine, my friends' act all the same.

That's more something to ask Apple. It's an error screen without text that generally means "This iPod isn't working" but can be triggered by probably many things.

ive went there, but all it says it that the ipod may need to be reset, but i don't know what triggers it, i may ask apple, and also, does anyone know a way to find a way to use the ipods harddrive solo?

I believe he is asking if there is a way to power-on an iPod and have it appear as only a disk, in much the same manner you can with newer Macs.

The question is moot, because unless you allow iTunes to seize control of your ipod it is always avaliable as a UMS device.

It deals with the ipod, and the disk. and my ipod doesn't work anymore, but the HDD still does, so im trying to figure something out, seeing as i have mp3s on it that i forgot to backup on my computer.

Yes, but neither of those is "disk mode". See, the idea is that this is a forum, and you respond on-topic. When you have a new or different concern, you find the appropriate place to start a new thread.
