ipod - tunestage firmware
« on: August 29, 2006, 05:28:19 AM »
Hi Rockboxers,

Just installed rockbox. Great software - it rocks ! One question though. I have a tunestage - wireless. When used with rockbox loaded, it does not work. You still get the audio out, but for some reason the signal that should be present on the two-pin female receptor, isn't present. It works well with the apple os though. I was wondering if there was any patch or something available, like a firmware upgrade. Please let me know rockbox team !

Also I would real like to develop something for rockbox 'cause it's given users much over the apple os. If someone could let me know how do I develop little routines for rockbox, I'd be happy to do it. I'm quite a proficient programmer. Is there anyway I can help.

Thanks

Ruben

Rockbox does not currently work with any accessories that do anything more than accept the audio out.  That is why you can hear it but not control it.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe nobody is currently working on it, and instead they are concentrating on getting the firmware out of beta.

As a non-programmer, I have no idea how hard it is to do it or even where to start, but you could look into coding it, killing 2 birds with one stone.
