Third Party > Repairing and Upgrading Rockbox Capable Players
The just friggin sucks!!! Not rockbox though.
Llorean:
Well, it's through your own actions that it happened. A store can't really be responsible for you doing something wrong.
travishayes89:
yeah, and when they sold the extended warranty plan to us, they explicitly stated "aside from dunking it in water", also it mainly is to cover batteries, which is odd to pay an extra 30 dollars to get someone to replace your battery for free when you need one for 3 years.
Corius:
Just out of curiousity why did you take your iPod into the toilet with you?
travishayes89:
you see, i just got home from school, dropped my bookbag into my room, and had to use the bathroom, so i didn't feel like taking the time to take my earplugs out, and didn't feel like having my battery drain while i wasn't using the thing, seeing as i was using RB at the time, and one of my favorite songs was playing too.
Corius:
Thats what the pause button is for and unless you're not getting enough fibre in your diet I doubt the battery would have drained a lot :)
But anyways I've dropped my phone into a glass of cola before... so I know about stupid accidents. My phone worked afterwords, i bundled it in toilet paper lol and put it on the radiator.... in retrospect I doubt that was the best idea
