Help, i just accidentally dropped my iPod into my toilet, i instantly pulled it back out, but now it doesn't seem responsive. Any hints, like do i need to let it sit in one position like on my desk for a few days to air out?

Dude, very sorry to hear about it. From what I've read on the 'net, yes, set it out on a paper towel in a place with good airflow and low humidity to let it dry out. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TURN IT ON. Try it again in a few days.

Well, it's through your own actions that it happened. A store can't really be responsible for you doing something wrong.

yeah, and when they sold the extended warranty plan to us, they explicitly stated "aside from dunking it in water", also it mainly is to cover batteries, which is odd to pay an extra 30 dollars to get someone to replace your battery for free when you need one for 3 years.

you see, i just got home from school, dropped my bookbag into my room, and had to use the bathroom, so i didn't feel like taking the time to take my earplugs out, and didn't feel like having my battery drain while i wasn't using the thing, seeing as i was using RB at the time, and one of my favorite songs was playing too.

Thats what the pause button is for and unless you're not getting enough fibre in your diet I doubt the battery would have drained a lot
But anyways I've dropped my phone into a glass of cola before... so I know about stupid accidents. My phone worked afterwords, i bundled it in toilet paper lol and put it on the radiator.... in retrospect I doubt that was the best idea

can you imagine putting your iPod on a car radiator though oh dear....
The hard drive should be ok, I think, if I remember before someone spilled coffe on their iPod and some people with more techy knowledge said the harddrive was hermetically sealed, so as long as you can dry it out without overheating it, it might live!
Unless of course you had already done your business in the toilet... then I wouldnt really touch it again
