 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
here it is:
1. download any file from http://download.rockbox.org/mpeg/
2.after downloading it change the extension to m2v.(first check that your "hide extenson for unknown file type "  is ticked in the folder option)
3. paste it on X:\ where X is your ipod drive
4. after disconnecting it play your file on the ipod...it should be on the menu only(if you have selected show file -to all....)

thats it.....now you can play video on your ipod...but it has no sound ....they are currently working on it.... :D :D :D :D :D

I tried the sample of this site (elephants dream) and it works great. But I want to watch my own movies so I downloaded vlc and tried the encode thing but it doesnt works for me. I use the batch to convert a movie, It takes about 30 seconds to convert a full 700 mb divx movie to m2v, but I dont find back where VLC stores the movie :( . If I use the wizard on vlc it works but on that wizard I cant use a custom resolution :( Could someone help me out of this?

(srry for crappy english  ::) )

exactly the same for me, i have search the file on my hdd but nothing appear with the batch file, i have tried with many kind of video files (avi, mpg, wmv...)  ??

i finally can read my own transcoded video, here's how i did it:
i change the resolution of the target video with "Virtual Dub" in my ipod 4:3 or 16:9 resolution with the adding of the filter "resize" and in audio i've checked "no audio" , i save the file to avi, then i transcode it with VLC wizard.
(JUST CHOOSE THE RESIZE FILTER AND CHECK NO AUDIO don't go away to change fps or encoding options,i have tried it and it don't work with vlc after)
i have just tried to skip wizard with the use of the batch file and it works after the downsampling with virtual dub and sound killing.
i have tried this only wit .avi

Does your original movie have a valid mpeg2 frame rate ? (25 or 29.97 fps) If not, you need to change stuff in the bat file (it's explained in the bat's file comments).
