Rockbox Car Volume (for the 5g)

What is the highest recommended volume you can use on the ipod 5g without clipping (when listening through a car stereo)?

Llorean:
Depends on your car stereo honestly.

If you're plugging it into a line in, then you should be at 0dB. If it's a tape adapter or FM transmitter, it's really trial and error. I personally use -25 with a tape adapter in mine.

I have an Auxiliary input on the head unit... Is that the same thing as a line in (yes, I'm an idiot)?

Llorean:
Probably.

fatherfork:
...though if you're going through the dock connector, you don't have any control over the volume coming from the iPod.
