If you use Manage settings to write the cfg file, the screen you get will tell you the default name for the cfg file.  Assuming that you don't change that name, just look for it in the .rockbox folder.

However, in /.rockbox (not the sub-folders if I get you right?), I only find two *.config files that don't seem to be about settings.
Are you looking a file with the extension ".cfg" or ".config"?

Hello,

I couldn't find any file with the extension *.cfg in the /.rockbox folder, that's why I looked at the files with the extendion *.config.
I can try once again, there's a chance that I just did something wrong - I selected "Manage settings > write .cfg file" and pressed "Navi".
Greetings,

Did it confirm to you that the settings were saved?

Nope. I'll try again right now.

Okay, did it! I can see the file now, I just can't read it, but I'll do that tonight.
Thanks!

Perfect!

I transferred that file to my PC now and there's loads of settings contained in it. Next thing I'll just delete all the settings I'm not interested in from this file. I'll keep a full copy of it as a sample, however, so I can model several more *.cfg files after it.
Thanks for the help!
