Can you rate music in RockBox?

Personally, I'd love to see ratings work with Winamp's library somehow... perhaps it could be done by a Winamp plugin to write ratings to ID3 tags, and then Rockbox reading and writing the Rating ID3 tag?

However it works, I think it would be great if it used ID3v2, just for the compatibility thereof.

Writing and reading ID3 tags each time would be extremely slow. There's also no tag writing functionality in CVS, and to be honest, it's not really needed.
