id3 tag problem
Llorean:
"Shouldn't" and "Isn't" are too very different things. ;)
If one set of files doesn't work, then there's something different about those files. It could be that your tagging program is doing something different *because* of the difference in those files, and while the difference itself wasn't enough to make Rockbox crash, once the tagging program does its different things too, that causes the failure.
Just a possibility.
Of course, if you made all the files yourself, this wouldn't be a problem.
deadlysyphen:
yeah, sent you a pm with the file. If anyone else wants the file, just ask.
Llorean:
Are you 100% sure these files worked unmodified, because even when I strip it of all tags, it won't play on my player.
Further note: If I simply transcode it from flac to flac, it works fine after.
deadlysyphen:
I'm 100% sure that the files work unmodified. They already have tags, but i changed two of tags and that's the file i gave you. You told me to give you a modified file.
And what does this mean?
If I simply transcode it from flac to flac, it works fine after. What's transcoding?
Llorean:
Do you have a program that makes FLACs? Give it a FLAC as an input, and have it output it as FLAC again.
I am curious what causes this problem, but I personally don't know what further to look for with your file. Hopefully someone who's more familiar will spot something.
