Best vers of doom/half life?

wanna put doom on 5g vid (heard bad stuff about it ) but o well wanna try it anyway!
what vers is the best and where can i get it?
i also heard about the halflife/counterstrike .wad

yea hl is deff fake however im trying to find where i can dl the .wads for doom and other plugins???

Try reading the manual and the PluginDoom wiki page... or the post in the general ipod forum that says it should be read BEFORE asking questions about doom... or searching the forums.

You need to follow the posting guidelines, which includes putting forth effort to find the answer before asking the question.

yea i did that and i dl the file to F\games\doom\(the .wad file)

and it still says missing wad file
what do i do

i select doom it gives me the addons and demos screen but when i go to "game"
all i get is "game WAD" and "doom shareware"

i have nothing to select. i think i might not have the wad in the right spot
