Another one tag cache questions...
« on: August 08, 2006, 09:10:21 AM »
Hi everybody.

Another tag cache question.

How many times does tag cache take to cache all file ?
The first time, i think I have waited about 1 hour (for 10 giga of ogg vorbis q7).

After that, i have try another build (for covert art album) but i'm back again on the original build. So I had to recreate again my tag cache. But this time, i had to shut down the ipod and then, start it again later. I could see on the screen something like "tag cache commit". But when i browse in the id3 display view, i can't see all my album. Maybe only 1/3.
How can i know if tag cache is working in the background?

A tag cache status exist?

Thx a lot

I have about 22gb on mp3s on my ipod and it barley even takes 10 minutes to  finish the tag cache. then a reset and everything is good to go. Are you sure the taggs on your files are all good?

Yes i'm sure that all my tag are goods.
But mayble id3 tags are faster than ogg vorbis tags to cache?

But i don't understanrt one thing: You MUST reboot after the building?

If yes, how do you know that tag cache have finished to build the cache?

thx for your response
