AFAIK you cannot edit them, only view them, at the moment. There has been talk of creating this feature, I for one would love to see it implemented so I can edit batch tagged genre fields.

There's a patch here: http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/1008. Though it looks like it's not been edited for a while (Nov 2005) so probably won't by in sync with CVS and may need some heavy rework.

There is also a newer patch around which allows editing of id3v1 tags. Just search the tracker a bit, it isn't hard to find.

My id3 v1.1 editor worked perfectly

It should be in CVS or daily builds!
