I'm not sure if this is the appropriate section, but I couldn't really find one that fits my question.
Apparently there was some change to how / when the battery running time counter is reset.
With v3.15 when the battery died and I had to plug in the charger to boot the device (H140), the counter would still count on until I unplugged and replugged-in the charger. That might probably have been seen as a bug and thus removed, i.e. now the battery running time counter is reset after booting with the charger plugged in. I liked the old behavior because I was able to see how long the battery lasted and if it gets weaker. Now, I never will know the running time between charging - unless I would reset the "top time" which I obviously don't want to have to do, as I want to keep the top time even if it at some point never gets topped - but maybe the next new battery can beat it...
Thus I was searching (using terms that seemed obvious to me, but also obviously not the correct ones) through gitk but I couldn't find a commit that read like it addresses this issue. That's why I would like to ask if someone by any chance knows the title or hash of the commit that changed this behavior.
Thank you very much!
