STARTUP / SHUTDOWNWould make these two items separate sound settings, one for Startup and one for Shutdown, user may not want to hear/use both.
For these I would recommend using the startup and shutdown sounds from Windows XP.... just kidding

I would use the BEEP sound effect for both of these actions because it stands out more then the CLICK sound effect.
(BEEP = the same sound effect used to let user know they have reached the top or bottom of menu list)
STARTUP
This would obviously let user know that RB has been started / device has been turned "on".
SHUTDOWN
This one I think could be even more beneficial, to indicate that the device shutdown sequence has been activated.
This would be for if user has their screen backlight set to "Never" which means always "off" or is not looking at their screen.
If you hold down "Play" button to activate RB Shutdown, there really is no indicator to let user know that the device has actually been shutdown.
(If device has a hard drive, you can hear the drive spin down but not ideal and not present in SS drive based devices)
BEEP sound effect could give user an audible indication that Shutdown is being applied.

NEXT/PREVIOUS (FORWARD/BACK)I might not like this after/if this is added, but currently feels strange that there is no sound effect for these actions.
Would add CLICK sound effect for next / previous (forward / back) actions.

FAST FORWARD / REWIND(This one is probably too complex to add / also might be another one not desired once it is added, just an idea)
Currently with these actions there is the CLICK sound effect used for the button holds, which is probably all that is needed, but....
For example, if backlight is "off" or user is not looking at screen, was thinking maybe could be interesting to have a light repetitive click sound effect.
Could also be nice if this light clicking sound effect gradually increases in speed/repetition along with the acceleration of the FF/RW increases.
Would give user an auditory indicator of the FF/RW action being performed along with the speed of the action.
Again, might be too complex to add.
