Some songs play a small section from the middle right at the end

BEnh3N:
I've been having this strange issue where some specific songs play a small section from somewhere else in the song right at the end. It only happens on some songs but on those songs it happens every time. The audio files themselves seem to have no issues, any playing them on both my computer and the stock firmware results in no issues at all. This only seems to happen when playing though Rockbox. Has anyone else experienced this before? For reference, I'm running an iPod Video with an iFlash Solo mod for storage.

EDIT:
Submitted a bug report and it looks like this was a bug with the mp4 codec. Just checked and it was fixed in the latest development build!

Frankenpod:
When you say "the audio files themselves seem to have no issues", do you mean the actual files on the ipod, or other copies of the files?  Becuase that sounds _very_ much like corruption is occurring when you sync the files to the ipod, as can happen (or at least used to happen with earlier versions of RockBox) with iFlash mods, if you synced the files while in RB mode.

Either try syncing the files with the ipod in disk mode, or if you aren't already using a very recent version try updating RB to a more recent version (e.g. 4.0) and then recopying the music files to it.

BEnh3N:
If I'm understanding correctly, the actual copies on the ipod do seem to be fine. If I plug the ipod into my PC and open the files directly off of the ipod, this problem does not happen and the songs play without issue. I did hear about the problem with files being corrupted when transferring in RB mode, but I tried both transferring the files in stock disk mode and also completely reinstalling and updaing rockbox to the latest version, both of which did not seem to fix my issue.

If it happens only with specific files, to do anything about this, at minimum we will need file specifics (eg type, bitrate, etc etc). or better yet a copy of the actual file attached to a proper bug report.

A year or two ago I experienced this same problem with an iFlashed iPod. I seem to recall that the tracks would display the wrong duration, and somehow repeat to fill the new length. I can't remember the solution, it might be a corrupted database. I'd make sure you're using a recent version of  Rockbox, then manually delete all of the database files via your computer, before building the new database.
