Installation / Removal > Rockbox Utility

Utility cant see any drives on my PC to choose from

(1/1)

Luuke:
Hi! I already has installed RB to AGPtek rocker manually many years ago but i want to update it. So i chose utility, but field "select your device in the filesystem" is empty.
How to fix that?

7o9:
You might have to run it as administrator.

However, if it is already installed you can also download a Rockbox build and just extract it over the existing install manually. That could be easier and have fewer variables that can go wrong.

That won't help.

On Windows Rockbox Utility requests elevation (that UAC dialog that pops up on start), so it effectively is running as administrator. Explicitly running it as administrator will only make that UAC dialog not pop up.

By making sure your player appears with a drive letter in Windows Explorer. I have no experience with AGPtek devices but at least on Sandisk devices there's a configuration to switch the player into MSC mode so it shows up as removable drive and gets a drive letter assigned.

Also, make sure the SD card is formatted as FAT32. Other file formats are incompatible, and Rockbox Utility will only show drives with a compatible file system. See also https://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-agptekrocker/rockbox-buildch2.html#x4-70002.1
