Single Boot - Does restore also bring back original bootloader
« on: March 23, 2025, 08:42:23 PM »
Linux / Debian Based
iPod 6g / 5g

Single boot is said to install the Rockbox bootloader directly into the devices "NOR" memory, replacing the original Apple bootloader completely.
I see there is a command to be able to uninstall the Rockbox bootloader.
So does that mean that if you do a "restore" of the device that it does not just bring back the Apple firmware, but it also restores the Apple bootloader to the "NOR" memory as well?

Thank You
