Help Needed To Fully Remove Rockbox (so I can start again) Hifi Walker

I've messed up trying to install Rockbox on my Hifi Walker H2, v1 5
I've tried multiple updates following info in the forum and install guides but can't get it to work. I tried to install initially using the utility but it didn't work as couldn't find the mount point. Second attempt was done via the hosted manual method.
On boot it shows an error saying Rockbox file not found and goes into the Rockbox recovery screen. If I select Rockbox it just errors again and goes back to recovery screen. If I select Aigo player the screen goes blank, shows recovery menu again and then loads up the other graphical menu showing Rockbox, Hiby Player and Tools. The confusing thing is I can launch Rockbox from here with no problem.
I'd like to reset my H2 back to initial settings so I can have another go at installing Rockbox. Every attempt so far at installing (what I believe to be ) the original update file seems to complete successfully but then I just end up back in the recovery screen. Am I missing something obvious or just doing it wrong?
I don't have a backup to try.

So what you've done is you have installed the bootloader for both the "Native" port and the "Hosted" port. The actual Rockbox firmware lives on your SD card.

It sounds like you have the "Hosted" port on your SD card. If you wish to use the "Native" port (the one which will be loaded by the recovery screen you said you go through first), all you need to do is download the build for the "Native" port and replace the ".rockbox" folder on your SD card with the new one.

So try downloading the rockbox build from here and replace the .rockbox folder on your SD card with the .rockbox folder from this zip file. It should work then.

Thanks for the advise. I think I've almost got there. I release I've made a mess of the bootloaders in my previous attempts.

I downloaded the native Rockbox linked to in the abovepost and have unzipped it and placed the .rockbox file on my SD card along with the patched upt file. I then update the firmware via the option in the HifiWalker's original player.

It quickly booted straight into Rockbox and if I turn the player off and back on again Rockbox loads almost instantly.
To get to the original player ( for bluetooth purposes) I hold play whilst pressing the power button. This takes me to the three option (Hosted?) menu. I can select Hiby Player and Tools but if I select Rockbox a message appears advising, "Cannot boot Rockbox". Is there a way to either remove the three option menu and go straight to the original player or be able to boot Rockbox from that menu option?

I don't think I was quite clear in my last post, you do not need to run the original firmware's updater unless you are specifically updating the bootloader. Updating Rockbox (which, again, is the .rockbox folder on your SD card) only requires that you restart the device.

In order to remove the Hosted menu, you need the correct STOCK update file for your device. Put this on the SD card as "update.upt". Then you will, with the device OFF, hold VolUp + Power. Then run the "Aigo Recovery" option.

From this point on, unless you wish to remove the rockbox bootloader entirely or there is some reason to update the bootloader (this is EXCEEDINGLY rare!), you never need to use the updater feature. Rockbox can be updated simply by overwriting the .rockbox folder on your SD card.

Got it working. I'd totally misunderstood the install instructions and thought that the update.upt file had to be run if rockbox was being changed for whatever reason (e.g. adding a theme).
