track progress bar stops progressing at a certain point

(1/1)

tizxv22:
Hi,

I was customizing the BONES theme. The main change relevant here is that I lengthened the track progress bar by 10 on either side. However, I noticed there's a section missing in the lower right corner (picture attached). When the track reaches that section, the progress bar stops progressing, although the time elapsed keeps moving. The song in the picture reaches that point around 2:20, but it stays there until the end of the song.

I commented out the time elapsed/total time, but it does not affect this. I thought maybe the bmp images needed to be resized, so I created my own and lengthened them, but it's still there!

Any ideas?

Turns out I was resizing the wrong bmp files! The resize fixed the issue, however the colors no longer match my config file (foreground/background isn't detected).

I was looking on the Custom Icons and Custom WPS pages of the wiki, and they said that cyan and magenta are used to recognize foreground/background, but when I recolored (and made sure filename was correct) it couldn't find the file and the failsafe theme loaded.

How do I resize a bmp? My issue feels so simple but I'm missing something...

For anybody in the future that might have a similar issue, I figured it out!

I used Windows Paint to edit the bmp, and had to make sure under properties that "black and white" (not "color") was selected; otherwise, the black of a color bmp is read as black. Black in a b&w bmp is read as the foreground color!

Thanks for the update!

If you want a bit of an easier time creating or editing bitmaps for themes, Paint.net will let you save a bitmap as 1-bit, meaning two colors only. I use it over MSPaint because it's both free and full featured with options for editing smaller files with unaliased outlines.
