Welcome to the Rockbox Technical Forums!
Hey Misery!First off, WOW. This theme takes everything that I loved about both SNAZZ/SPAZZ and cranks it up a notch. You can feel the passion that was poured into this project.Overall, I'm pretty happy with the theme and I've been trying out its various features on my 7th-gen classic. There are only a few things that I would change:- I think that for those who don't want to use the nickname feature that you've added, it could be a good idea to make a version of this theme that has the "locked" box in the same spot that the nickname would go since I do think it looks a bit odd hanging off on the right side.- An option for either percentage-only or icon-only ways to display battery could be neat since a lot of other themes tend to have just one or the other. I also think that on lower battery %'s, the gap between the actual icon and number can get pretty big, so maybe flipping it around so that it's % first, then icon could make it look better.- I don't know if this is a "me" issue, but whenever I plug my iPod into my laptop and unplug it after a successful eject, it flashes for a second and then stays stuck on the USB-connected screen, leaving the iPod completely soft locked in my case, as even holding down play/pause doesn't seem to do anything. Only by doing a hard reset with menu + home button can get back to the main screen. I don't know what this could be caused by.Besides that, everything else is well executed. If possible I'd also like to see a version of the theme with the cover art in the main WPS by some means. Still, this is an incredible theme, keep the work up!
Misery,I absolutely love this theme. It is fantastic and makes a lot of great improvements over the SPAZZ theme. As someone who has had a digital music collection for a long time, I was not always the best at tagging my tracks, and as a result, I am missing a lot of artwork. Because of this, I like the way that the original SPAZZ theme handled the lock screen just by having lock text over the volume slider. It also reminds me of the stock firmware with the small padlock icon.I have tried to alter the theme to bring back the original lock screen, but my theming knowledge is rudimentary at best (non existent, really). Can you help me understand what I should be looking for or changing to bring back the SPAZZ lock screen? I understand that I need to alter the text in the wps file, but from there I am lost.Again, still an amazing theme that cranks up the usability over the original. As someone newer to Rockbox, adding the menu and sub menu titles at the top of the screen really help me remember which menu I have got lost in. Keep up the great work!
