Bricked Clip Zip(replace nand)
« on: January 26, 2025, 02:03:19 PM »
Hello everyone!
(Sorry for bad English)
The player hangs on the loading logo.I tried methods of restoring the player (pressing buttons, shorting pins). Most likely the internal memory is completely defective.I have a Clip+ with a dead screen, but live memory. If I solder the memory from Clip+ to Zip will there be a chance that the player will start working again. (if I use the instructions to unbrick with "new" memory)

On the forum I saw topicsi that not sandisk memory can not be simply used in the player, but maybe the memory from the previous model of the player will work?

There is a nuance, in the instructions for unscrambling on the photo next to the pins that need to be shorted there is a resistor I do not have on my player.

The Clipzip can boot from the microSD card. Depends on the version of the bootloader, I would look into this first.  ;)

Thanks for the reply.Tried this option
on the latest dev build no change (appears logo, animation, fades and again starts logo without animation and that's it)

on version 3.15, the player turns on appears logo and the player fades out
