Great stuff - thanks so much for all that you've done (and continue to do).
Did you decide to not include a default playername.txt file in the current (and future) builds? I didn't find one when I did a clean install with Rockbox Utility, nor when I manually downloaded and unpacked the .zip. I think it's probably unnecessary and cleaner without it.

there is no default till boot (its checked by the running fw if doesn't exist is created) that way it won't overwrite a custom playername.txt and I don't have to do logic to check a second default file (like tagnavi does)

Got it - thanks for the clarification. When I did the clean install with Rockbox Utility I must have looked for the .txt file to edit, and then created one myself, before I rebooted from the Apple FW into the Rockbox FW.
