iPod 5th Gen crashing when initializing database upon fresh install.

(1/2) > >>

ololololivia:
Using an iPod Classic 5th Gen (only hardware mods are an iFlash-Solo with a 32GB Adapted Micro SD card inside) when the database is initialized upon the first boot it crashes.
If I do as it says and I press a button different from select it does go back in the menu, but pressing select to start initializing just crashes the iPod.

I don't have this issue on my unmodified iPod Mini 2nd Gen.

Frankenpod:
Which version of Rockbox are you using?  I don't have any answers, but anyone who might would need to know that.  Older versions are less stable with flash mods.

If it's a micro-SD card then presumably there's a micro-SD to SD adaptor within the iFlash adaptor, which is going to add another level of possible instability, I'd have thought - be better off trying with a full size card and no adaptor.  Or an iFlash quad.

ololololivia:
In Rockbox info it reads version 75282a1683-241118, it was the daily build when I installed it yesterday

ololololivia:
I installed the stable release and it has initialized succesfully

saratoga:
Stable releases won't work with your flash adapters so you need to run the current dev build.
