Sansa e200 V2 - wake display into WPS

(1/1)

Zakalwe:
I may be missing the obvious here, but when my e280 V2 is playing and the display is off, is there some way to get to the WPS ("Now Playing"-screen) with a single button-press, without affecting the playback? Play, Left and Right will show the WPS but stop or skip the track, whereas the other buttons will take me to various submenus. Is this something I could alter using that remap plugin in the dev-build, i.e. have the big center button simply wake the display and show the WPS? I am on the regular 3.15 now.

 First Keypress Enables Backlight Only.

With this option enabled the first keypress while the backlight is turned off will only turn the backlight on without having any other effect. When disabled the first keypress will also perform its appropriate action.

Zakalwe:
Thank you, I had no idea this was in the options! Indeed, this kinda does what I was hoping for, though in a way it is overkill - it makes all buttons behave the way I wanted, rather than just one. I will give it a try, but I suspect having the play/skip buttons effectively requiring double-clicks for their regular operations when the screen is off will become a bit of a nuisance.

7o9:
Look at the next paragraph for ‘Backlight Exemptions’.

In particular ‘Exempt Skip’ and ‘Exempt Play’.

Ah, yes, that seems to do the trick -  thanks to you as well!
