iaudiox5 won't start up after loading bootloader and Rockbox.....help please

I have loaded and reloaded the bootloader and rockbox 3 times now. Everytime when I place in charging cradle to update firmware it very briefly attempts to update then switches to charging, and will not start up. only way to get working again is to reload the original firmware from iaudio.I am trying to load for my brother in law and am far from a computer whiz, please help out.

The firmwares provided are often needed to be patched ONTO an original firmware, not flashed as they are.

Has that step been done before flashing, or have you downloaded a pre-patched firmware?

You might have just loaded the bootloader without the actual files (or vice versa). I did that with my and scared the daylights out of me. Make sure you load both the bootloader and the build.

there are two bootloaders so make sure u have the right one and u can find some more help here.
