No bootloader backup after native installation Hifi Walker H2
Zweeni:
Hello community,
as I said, I would like to go back to the original bootloader but I don't have a backup.
how can I get rid of the bootloader from Rockbox?
thanks in advance.
Greetings, Sven
Zweeni:
Hello, it's me again.
After searching
the forum, I found out that nothing is possible without a backup.
Would someone perhaps provide me with their backup?
My device is a Hifi Walker H2 and was delivered with FW 1.8.
I would be very happy to go back to the original,
because the inverted colors in the Rockbox are not funny.
Best wishes, Sven

I believe you should be able to boot into the stock firmware (hold Play while booting) and flash a new update.upt firmware (either stock or patched for Rockbox (Hosted)), does that work by chance? If I recall correctly, that should also work.
I should also add that it should be specifically a 1.8 firmware image.
dconrad:
Before you do that though, any chance you would be willing to test out a possible fix?
If so, you could download the bootloader and zip file from here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19yRR0GXw8FkhN_R_rm_gDZDfqoKLX2ze?usp=share_link
It corresponds to this patchset: https://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/c/rockbox/+/5877
Extract the zip file to the root of your SD card and use jztool to temporarily boot it just like you did for installation. There's no need to install the bootloader (unless you want to), just boot right into Rockbox and see if the LCD behaves.
Zweeni:
Hello @Dconrad
Thank you very much for your help.
Unfortunately I didn't have any success.
The bootloader was mirrored and the colors are still inverted.
The tip about pressing the play button when booting didn't work either.
It's a shame, but I'm not giving up.
Maybe someone else has some advice.
Best wishes, Sven
P.S., sorry for my bad English, I'm translating from German using Google Translate.
