Does the iPod6g support inline controls?

I've seen mixed results on this. Some say they've used it, but the majority statement I've read is that they don't exist yet. I'm using an iPod Classic 7 so I know it has support in hardware. If not, I'm probably gonna try to add it myself.

I see this was moved and the title changed. That is not what I was asking. I know the 6g hardware supports inline controls. I am asking if Rockbox supports it.
