Sansa Clip Zip buttons stopped working on rockbox

(1/2) > >>

LuxZ:
Hi!
I'm using rockbox with my sansa clip zip since many years and I love it; but a couple of days ago something strange happened :
the directional up / down and start buttons stopped working on rockbox. If I boot with the normal sansa menu they work fine.
I tried to reinstall the last firmware and rockbox too but without success : the buttons still don't work in rockbox.
What can I do? I have no ideas.
Thanks in advance.

Bilgus:
All i can figure is we DONT drive the gpios as high or maybe something to do with the power saving settings

Id suspect the buttons wont work in the OF either eventually but that's my only thought

The buttons pad can be removed carefully then you can see the clear plastic with metal domes
If they are green they likely need cleaned and new tape can be applied i like heavy duty shipping tape

LuxZ:
Thank you for the answer; I removed the buttons pad, not green, but cleaned anyway.
Nothing changed, still buttons don't work under rockbox but they work fine under OF

Bilgus:
In the debug menu there should be a readout of the gpios do you see levels changing as you press the buttons?
IM really stumpped how That'd would be possible that the OF still works

LuxZ:
I don't know how to access the debug menu; when I start rockbox the only buttons that works are the volume, the back (the one with the arrow) and the start.
With original everything works.

I made a brief video showing it...it makes me crazy
