iPod 2nd Generatioin will not shut off

Good Evening:

I recently managed to successfully install Rockbox on my 2nd Generation iPod that is running with a 128gb KingSpec CF Card.  Everything is running perfectly with the exception that I am unable to turn the unit off when it is not in use to save the battery.  When I press the Play/Pause button the iPod says that it is shutting down and then immediately reboots.

I am using the Flattery Theme. 

Also, when I put the unit on the charger the battery displays as if it were fully charged. 

My workaround for now is to reboot into the Apple software and shut down from there. 

I am not sure if it is a bug or if it is because I am using a CF card or something querky when I installed it. 

If anyone else has experienced anything similar I would appreciate your advice.
