is it possible to make a rockbox version for the apple ipod touch 2?
But there is a problem... mine doesnt have a working powe button... so can it be controlled by software?
i mean it doesnt need to but whatever.

Yes, a port is "possible" in that there is no technical reason why it can't be done.  But I feel confident in saying that it _won't_ be done, unless _you_ do it.

Meanwhile, the "power" button on most devices is special in that it's not just a generic input. there is typically hardware functionality specifically tied to the power button, and without it, you might not even be able turn on (or off, or reset) the device.
