Wrong battery percentage

Hello,

To begin, sorry is I'm in the wrong forum to ask what's following.

I have a Ipod Classic 6th gen and I have a problem with the battery management.

When I start the Ipod, the battery always show 1 or 2% percetange remaining and it grows up until the real (I hope) percentage remaining.

Can I do something to start the player with the right percentage ?
