Hi, I've been using rockbox for a while... And I've been thinking about creating a Discord server! (An ''Official'' one). Do I need permission to create it?

You can create anything you want, but it won't be "official", and you're going to be on the hook to support and maintain it. 

ConchobharOMathuna:
I would be interested in a discord server!  I've helped run a few in the past, and would be willing to help moderate it.
