Transferring music to Ipod Classic via Rockbox

Hello there I wonder if you can help please?  I am a newbie to this software and am not very technically minded. I have installed Rockbox and it seems to work with a good sound reproduction but I need a simple tutorial or step by step instructions as to how to transfer music. 

I'm afraid that when jargon is used I get lost. So would really appreciate it if instructions could be quite basic in nature ie connect this lead, how to set up a folder and in which drive etc

Apologies if this is a very basic question but I don't want to get bogged down in too much technical information.
