xrick game needs additional files? Does RBUtility not copy them across?
« on: July 05, 2024, 09:18:51 AM »
So, from reading the manual, it seems the new xrick game won't work unless some additional files are installed.  Fair enough, once I did that it works.

But it seems, from using RButility quite recently, that those files are not copied automatically when you tick the 'install additional game files' box on RButil's dialogue.  Would it not make sense for those files to be copied along with the Doom and Quake etc files, if that box is ticked?

(It's possible this has already changed since I used RButility a few days ago)

What version of rbutil did you use?  (If you didn't compile it from source _after_ xrick was added to rockbox, it won't work)

Come to think of it, rbutil really should pull the list of "game data files" from the runtime-downloaded ini file.

Seems to be (claims to be) version 1.5.1.  Didn't compile it from source, downloaded it from here some time ago.  Perhaps lazily, assumed it would install whatever "game data files" were required.  Downloading them and installing them manually worked, so not a problem.
