Skip tp next file even if loop one is set.
« on: May 07, 2022, 01:22:38 PM »
I'd like to be able to play each file on a loop until I press a button to go to the next file. But if loop is set the 'next' button just goes to the beginning of the file. I'd like to skip to the next file with one button press.  Is there a way to do that?

If there is no way to do this, I think it might be worth changing how it works since both back and next both go to the beginning of the file as it is now. Next is sort of redundant. At least I think that's the case.

Strikes me that if this means adding an extra mode to "repeat" settings, it might break a lot of themes.

Perhaps it would make sense for this to be the standard behavior of repeat 1?  Is there any benefit to the existing behavior, that I'm not thinking of?  (It seems sort of technically logical that when on repeat-1, pressing fwd or bck would take you back to the start of that 1 track, but as logical as it is, it doesn't seem as if it serves any useful purpose to have it work like that)

I have never really understood why repeat one worked the way it did and always wanted to dig into it but never had the time.  I suspect it was not an intentional decision but rather a side effect of how the playlists work.  Changing it to let you skip regardless seems fine to me.

Noted and updated

the way it works now is you double skip to change track basically the same way you would skip backwards; first press restarts track and the next skips back
