Playback of audio merging
(1/1)
ceye84:
Running rockbox v3.15 on a ipod Video 5th gen, modded with an iFlash quad.
I've noticed that when playing audio, sometimes another song will pop into another song for a few seconds.
Has anyone else experienced this? Slightly weird to be listening to Miles Davis and then hear a Slayer song in the middle(!)
Frankenpod:
Same issue as the other guy, I would suspect. i.e. the same issue that has arisen for years with the iFlash mods and Rockbox.
Try updating to a more recent version than 3.15. That might help (though personally I just always sync in original firmware mode and that seems to work fine - haven't actually tested to see if the problem is fixed in more recent versions of RB).

Is there a newer version past 3.15?? If so, would it be here on the site?
When you say 'sync in original firmware mode', do you mean put it in disc mode (i.e. reset and then select+play button)?
saratoga:
Yes, there is the development build. Link on the left side of your screen.

Yes. That's how I've always done it. You _might_ have to start again with a complete restore of the ipod and reinstallation of RB, as the previous flawed sync might have irretrievably corrupted the file system. But it's possible just deleting the tracks and resyncing them in original firmware mode would be enough. Or try doing it after installing the latest development version (am curious if that now works correctly for syncing - I haven't dared try it myself).
