Below are two features I would use on a daily basis if they were available. (Perhaps they are already available but I haven't found them? Or maybe they can already be accomplished less directly by the means other than what I suggest?)
1 - Play a single track and then Pause/Stop.
Perhaps this could be implemented via a long click on a track in either the Database Browser, a saved playlist, the current playlist, or on an audio file in the File Browser. The resulting context menu would have an item named something like "Play This Track Only" or "Play This Track And Then Pause/Stop". This would be a non-sticky feature, meaning it would be cleared after each single use.
2 - Specify a track in the current playlist after which the player would Pause/Stop.
Perhaps this could be implemented via a long click on a track in the current playlist. The resulting context menu would have an item named something like "Pause/Stop After This Track". As above, this would also be a non-sticky feature. I currently accomplish this by removing all tracks in the current playlist that follow the last one I want to play. If there are too many tracks to remove I specify an estimated Pause/Stop time with the sleep timer - but I would love to be able to Pause/Stop cleanly after the end of a specific track.
Thoughts?
