Backlight fade in/out on iPod Classic (6/7 gen)

Hickypop:
I'd like to ask if it's possible to add the backlight fade in and out options available in the iPod 5th gen and Nanos to the Classic (6/7th gen). It's a little thing but one of my favorite features when listening in the dark and the backlight doesn't blast your dark adjusted eyes.
