Sandisk Clip Zip 128GB microSD (FAT32) not detected by Rockbox

Rockbox does not detect 128GB SanDisk XC1 card (FAT32) on the SanDisk Clip Zip. However, the card works just fine when booting into original SanDisk OS and when plugged into the computer. Reinstalling Rockbox, intitializing database, and reformatting card does not help.

Anyone with an idea why only Rockbox does not detect the card?

likely the card is corrupted we are a bit more strict about that in the dev versions now you might try 3.15 and if it works there its a bad block on the card or just somehow got corrupted.
Likely, doing a low level format and marking bad sectors might bring it back (might only be for a bit though till more blocks fail)

I don't think the card is corrupted because it works fine when I boot into the original SanDisk OS, or when I plug it into my computer. It's just that for some reason, only Rockbox does not detect the card.

How do you deduce that the card working means there's a partition table? External drives can be formatted without one (sometimes called "superfloppy"), but this isn't supported by all systems / devices. Can't remember if Rockbox needed a partition table, but if the card doesn't have one that would be the first thing to look for.

Are you using a recent dev build? Have you tried with any other cards, or just the one? And what tools do you use to format the card?

I'm using a clipzip with a similar sandisk card btw (256G)
