I've looked everywhere for different names, but I can't find anything similar. I would love, if possible, to be able to play Doom on it. Thanks in advance.

Almost all Ruizu players use ATJ2127 SOC (same as Clip Sport), If I'm not mistake some also use a weak Rockchip SOC which is also not support Rockbox

These are based on an Actions Semiconductor ATJ2127 chips, with under 100KB of available memory and all audio decoding happening inside dedicated hardware. A rockbox port to these (and other ATJ2127) targets will not happen, as it would require an immence undertaking and due to resource limitations, the end result would lack most of the features that rockbox users have come to expect.

Oh yes. I understood. It's really a shame, I was a little hopeful about it to play a Doom or even something lighter. Well anyway, thanks a lot for the reply.

So I decided to buy another version, which I believe to be the same hardware, but with different buttons.

The difference from this one to the previous one is that it has a Snake game and Sokoban, and the buttons, as I said earlier.

I think it's impossible run doom, but that dont exclude Rockbox basic functions like play music.

It has 4 MB RAM.

It's a Spreadtrum SoC, with ARM processor.

It's a hardware unrelated to Ruizu X02. X02 uses a Actions SoC. It's not possible run Rockbox on Actions SoC, and morever Ruizu are more expensive than brandless Spreadtrum based players.

I think it can be possible to port Rocbox to Spreadtrum based players, but it haven't done yet.

In this thread you can see the information we got about that https://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,54269.0.html

You can read, modify and write the firmware. But that's only the first little step before port Rockbox.

The hardware may seem generic to you but it is actually something specific. Open up the device, see what the hardware is. I think a lot of those super cheap devices are very limited and probably can't run rockbox, but I'm not sure about the models you linked.

I will buy it tomorrow. So I don't currently have it in hand; but I'll definitely open it to find out more, and I believe it can run Rockbox. Since it comes with two games already pre-installed; Sokoban and the snake game. And it even already has a system of lyrics synchronized with the music, which I don't know how it works, but I've seen videos showing it. Anyway, I would very much like to be able to open doors to a new way not only for myself, but for other users of the same device also to install Rockbox.

Lyrics synchronized with the music is a easy thing and it has almost all brandless Actions based players, but they dont have memory enough to run rockbox. It uses .lrc format with the same name than .mp3 file song, it'a easy thing. 7$ brandless actions players have that.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LRC_(file_format)

Spreadtrum players (Sokoban and Snake game) have not Lyrics sync, but they have better hardware and they are more new than Actions based players. They have 4 MB RAM and a 208 MHz ARM processor. They have bluetooth and mp4 playing function too. And they are multitask (unlike Actions).

I see. It's really a shame. But no problem, initially I just want to 'rest' my phone and listen to music on another device, playing Doom would be an extra bonus; but at least it comes with Sokoban and the snake game. I'm a little satisfied, at least. Since the model I presented first there were no games.

I think in the range of cheap portable players it has the best relation features/price. If someday Rockbox could run on it, it will be the cheapest player to run rockbox.

Its price (shipment included) is about 13 $ large button version, 16 $ side buttons version, and 18 $ touch version. All with a 1,77 inch 128x160 262k colors display.

I use to play music and play mp4 videos and works well.

some bad point is battery, but with a power bank it become "endless", because its energy consum is much lower than a smartphone, and there are power banks that can adapt to a continuous use without cable.
