iPod Mini 2nd Gen will not go back and forth to rockbox and apple firmware.

Hi,
My iPod Mini 2nd gen is stuck on rockbox after installation. manually restarting the iPod does just boot loops it when the hold switch is on. I can manually reinstall apple firmware but then the rockbox bootloader has to be reinstalled. The two are like magnets; one pushes the other away.

Turns out it was the hard drive. I replaced it with an iflash SD to CF card and a 256gb samsung evo microsd card.
