iPod Photo: Battery info.
« on: July 23, 2006, 12:28:43 AM »
Yo, i just did a battery test for the 30GB ipod color.  The conditions were the defult setting with a few minor ajustment:Frequency set to 15(to prevent crash), Duo Puff WPS, 503 shuffled playlist with mostly 192 and 128kbps mp3 and 1 OGG.  version 060721-1142

Not sure is this info any good for the devs.. but it is here.

I graphed the result myself so it is a little messy(i did it with graph paper, buy my scanner did not scan the lines..)
Here is the graph.

CPU boosting is either on or off. There's no need to ever do more than increase it by one.

So, are you saying that the results are not correct( i know it is either on or off, so i didnt think setting it to 15 would matter)

No, setting it to 15 won't matter any more than setting it to 1. But the results are entirely unrealistic, since then boosting on and off is intended entirely for battery life gain. Yours is close to a worst-case scenario (except no backlight on)

Well, it's not much use until the crash is resolved.
